with Cathy Carey and Will Thomas.  And talk about lucky?!?!
They live right next door to Denai and Chili!
How GREYT is that?!?!?

She has two beds, her own pillow and lots of toys.
She's a lucky kiddo!

The Hubbard Family of Cape Coral made Champagne a happy gal!
A month later, they fostered Ali   and now she's part of the family, too!
Christmas 2006 brought Chari into the fold.
February 2008 added Rover, who is Champagne's nephew.
Now Norris has joined the family!
We LOVE it when the family grows!

Dana Thimons and Mike Devroy met Bart and that was all it took to get them hooked!
They bought a house, fenced the yard and added Athena to the mix.  Yeah!

Well, it only took two years for her to make up her mind, but
Wendi Ebert finally took the plunge and made
Bella (f/k/a Kentucky)
part of her family. She joins Mozart the cat as well as all her cousins at the Ebert home!

Our Poster Child for Foster Failure!
Gail Ebert of Cape Coral, takes them in as fosters and can't let them go!!
Right now, she's at five, but she's been as high as eight!!!   Her gang includes
Stretch, Spokane, Attica, Zap, Rainy (at the Bridge) and Indigo.

SC / HBG is successful again!
Autumn
was adopted by Vicki & Bob Stewart in Anderson, SC.
They fell madly in love with her...so they decided to give fostering a try.
Guess what!  Another foster failure in the making...Shadow is staying!
Thinking there is always a chance that you can succeed as a foster family,
they tried again with Bailey.  Well...she's staying, too! Yes!!!

SC / HBG is on fire!
Lia Clardy and Jeff Ragsdale of Williamston, SC are our newest greyhound addicts!
When they adopted Toni, they were so excited, they took her straight over to meet
the extended family.  Soon after, they adopted Hannah.  Then they decided to attempt fostering,
but
Braxton (fka Carla)
has become the third permanent grey in their gang!

Kayden is living with John & Annamarie Albanese in Punta Gorda.
He's gotta be a happy boy!

Allan and Carol Tissot live in Punta Gorda and they've recently added Josh to their family.
He has a Westie sibling and he is LOVIN' life!

Lover went to live with Linda and Jack in Cape Coral.
Then, we guess the greyhound bug must have bitten them, because
not long after that, Cheyenne (f/k/a/ Shania) joined the family!
They have another canine brother named Grif.  They've got lots to love now!

Aurora has a new name and a new home!  She is now known as Abby
and is living with Benny and Cindy Anthony in Cape Coral.
She has a jack russell sister named Trixie and together,
they are spoiled rotten.  As it should be....!

When Barney and Cathy Barnett came to the kennel at the greyhound track,
Greta smiled pretty and they said "We want her!"
Then, they met Katie at a meet-n-greet and said, "We want her, too!"
We were disappointed when they moved to South Carolina,
but when they're travelling around in their
own motor home, they come back and visit us!
Sadly, Greta is now at the Rainbow Bridge, but last time they were here,
they added Maya (f/k/a Loni) to their family!

Molly (f/k/a Song) found her forever home with Lisa Namath of South Fort Myers.
Here she is with her greyhound siblings, Trudy and Megan!

at the Belk Charity Days at the Gulf Coast Town Center.
They're BOTH happy gals now!

HL Lawrence and Laurence Fastov of Naples have had Nasdaq for awhile,
but we never got her picture on the website and she's such a pretty girl.
It's about time we got her up here!

Kathy and Earl Gokey of Naples saw Daiquiri and knew she was the greyhound for them!
She's now known as Cassidy and she is a lucky girl!

Randy and Brandy Camelio of Cape Coral made a visit to PetsMart
and Goldie has a forever home now.  That's the way we like it!

Cheryl Elwood and Jay Higgs in Naples adopted Perky and she fit in so well,
they decided to take Yoda home, too.  Yippee!!

Beth Hamilton decided her house needed more than one greyhound,
and the crooked ears were too hard to resist,
so Stella has Sly for a new brother!

That makes Trixie one happy gal!

Charity Day at Belk was the magic moment for Gerry & Larry Kortas of Lehigh Acres.
That's where they met and fell in love with Deena, now lovingly called Lexi.
Now, THAT'S a greyt shopping trip!

When Earl and Peggy Eckhardt of Cape Coral were ready to adopt a greyhound,
they couldn't decide which one they liked...so, they took two!

They got a forever home together in Port Charlotte.

Mindy Lou  and Java have their forever home with
Nancy and John Vasquez of Naples.
They go everywhere with them, even to church!
It's a hard knock life for these two!

Dude  has a new forever home!
He is living in Punta Gorda with Dorothy and Michael Strunk.
He also has a brother named Charlie, who is a Hurricane Katrina rescue dog.

He doesn't look pleased, does he?

Ali   (f/k/a/ Allan) is a lucky fella!
He's off the track, he's got a new "macho" name
and a new forever home in Port Charlotte.  YES!!!

Mona Kurth of Naples has really brought Kooper full circle.
He was one of the fire dogs and now he's a show dog.
How cool is that?!?!

Rita and Ray Lasalle of Punta Gorda have caught "Greyhound Fever."
It started with Calli  and now Precious   has joined the family.
Another fine foster failure...

Well, it only took a few minutes for Rick and Rita Pociask of Estero
to decide that
Dave   was the guy for them!  And it only took a couple of months
for them to decide one wasn't enough and Kandi   joined the family!
They don't look TOO happy, do they?

Becca and Scott Loiacano of South Fort Myers were the proud parents of Dutch.
Then, a dog-sitting favor brought Earl  to the family, too.
What a happy bunch!

with only two greyhounds....Nah!

They all join Dakota, the red lab, to make a happy family!

Thanks, Jackie!

Bruce and Nancy Bohn found out that greyhounds are the right match for them.
Bruce even has a greyhound on his business card!
Here's Dragon with his brother, Smokin' Joe.

Calli is a really lucky girl!  Her new mom, Jennifer Vickrey, was so excited to pick her up,
she and her new husband got off the plane after a 31 hour trip home from their HONEYMOON
and drove straight down to pick her up.  You can't tell she's spoiled, can you?
(She only got this bag of greenies off the shelf and opened it herself...mom didn't say a word.)
Rumor has is that a greyhound brother or sister can't be too far off.

When Barbara and Dan Coakley came to PetsMart to meet their new greyhound,
Megan wasn't really the one they intended to adopt.
However, Megan came right up to Barbara, looked at her with those big brown eyes
and it was all over.  By the time they left, Megan had a new collar, a new harness,
food bowls, food, toys, a bed...and on and on.   At home, she had sister, Sasha, awaiting.
No, she doesn't look spoiled at her new home in Cape Coral, does she?

We keep telling people...you can't have just one!  Once again, the potato chip theory holds true...
this time for Jeff and Nadine Davis of Cape Coral.
Winston and Sahara are both spoiled rotten...life on the boat,
parties with the neighbors and their pets, a couple of feline siblings,
Mom and Dad are co-sponsors of  the annual Doggy Wash.
What else could they want?!?!

Beauty (f/k/a Betty) is living in St. James City with her new folks,
Peter and Gloria McKeown.  She has a nice, quiet neighborhood and a new human brother.
Lucky gal!

Another happy ending!

Star is a really happy guy.  He found his forever home and family in Bonita Springs!
David, Shawn, Spencer and Shelby think he is the greatest thing
since sliced bread.  He even has a poodle brother named Shadow.
What more could he want?!?!

Zack sure knows how to work HIS special magic.
He had Lannon Ruth under his spell almost immediately.
Of course, with a face like this, who could resist?  He has her really well trained, too.
She brings him to visit his greyhound buddies on a regular basis...
and we LOVE seeing them!

So, did you notice how K.C. is smiling in these pictures?
That's because he has a forever home!
That's sure worth smiling about!

Boy, Pistol   has got it all...white...brindle...patches...ticking...
and now a fenced yard, a soft place to sleep
and all the love his new owner is going to give him!
Now, he's top gun!

Happy's name REALLY fits now that he has his forever home!

Honey has a wonderful new home.  With a face like this, who can be surprised!

Nobody could resist a beautiful little brindle and white sweetie like Tiki.
Beth and Eric Gosselin scooped her right up!
And they loved her so much, they had to come back and get Mini, too!

The Farrell Clan

Well, there are greyhound lovers and then, there are GREYHOUND LOVERS!!!
Joanne and Pat Farrell  are the wonderful folks who started
Homeward Bound Greyhounds and they need their own page
with all these four-legged kids!
Cindi, Sandi, Carlee, Marco, Stan Beau,
Brandi, JoJo, Lady, Artie and Donna

are the lucky greys that live with them.
In addition to their own "collection" of greys, they share their home
with most of our foster greys, too!
We couldn't do it without them!!!

Patti is a beautiful dark brindle with a dainty white tuxedo and white feet
that look like her dancing shoes when she prances around the yard!
She's small and shy and really needed someone to win her confidence.
She wanted a home of her very own and she found one! Lucky Girl!

Who could resist this pretty brindle lady? Somebody couldn't.
They took Polly home and made her one of the happiest gals around. Lucky Girl!

Shikaree
has been reunited with a sibling!
Her humans adopted one of her littermates and liked that one so much,
they followed Shikaree's racing career so they could adopt her when she retired!
She's happily at home now in Virginia. Lucky Girl!

The Robinson Clan

The potato chip theory holds true again.  You can't have just one!
Ruby has a new sister named Rosie and what a couple of cuties they are!
They've found their forever home with Mark Robinson of Lehigh.

The Martin Clan

Deb and Dale Martin love greyhounds!
They adopted Miss Liley, Ginger, Orlando and Harley
and then moved the whole clan to South Carolina.
Then, they decided four wasn't enough and they added Lucy to the bunch!

The Smith Family
doesn't know how they ever got along without Mocha.
She motivates Lauren to walk by running toward the closet where her leash
is stored and doesn't stop until she takes her out for a couple of miles.
And, no matter what kind of day they have had at work, they are greeted
enthusiastically by Mocha at the door, which makes their frustrations or
worries just disappear.  She makes them laugh when they find things
in her bed that she has "stolen".  She loves Lauren's plush Boyd's Bears!

Here's Mocha engaged in one of her favorite activities! Lucky pup!

Mandi  is one beautiful brindle beach puppy!
Her forever home is on Fort Myers Beach with Betsi Logan.
She lives in a cozy beach bungalow with her 2 lab sisters and 4 cat siblings.
What a happy family they all make together!  Lucky gal!

The Moore Clan

Eliza (formerly known as Leeza) smiled that pretty greyhound smile at
Karen Moore and won her heart instantly!  When Karen met Huey, who shares an "issue" with Eliza,
it was a match made in heaven.  The issue?  Neither one will walk on tile floors!
According to Karen, that's why man invented carpet and throw rugs!

Kristin and Buck's Clan

Buck and Kristin sent this greyt Christmas card showing off their kids, Abbey and Swede.
Unfortunately, Abbey has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge, but Swede is happy as a clam...
even when they're in Wisconsin!

The Clifford Clan

Fonda is one lucky girl!  Her badly broken leg is all fixed up
and she's at home with the Clifford's in North Fort Myers.
Butterfly is her greyhound sister!

Buddy is a "snowdog!" He spends his winters in Arcadia with
Edith and Gary Moody
and his summers in Pittsburgh. And whenever
they decide to get up and go, he travels with them in his
own comfy spot in their motor home...he's now just one of their kids.
Gary says Buddy loves to ride in the car,
so his traveling lifestyle with the Moodys suits him just fine!

The Grove Clan is growing!

Nero (seen with Jerry at right) spent 12 weeks recovering from a broken leg
before finding Jerry and Susan Grove of Naples.  He was their first greyhound,
but we knew he wouldn't be their last!
Their next addition was Sophie.
Lucky dogs!

Butch has a new home! Yippee!

!

Angel makes her home with Jaime Martin, who recently moved to South Carolina.
Other members of their family include 2 Chihuahuas and four cats.

Lady and Indy love to play in their backyard at
Joe and Karyn Trail's
home in Cape Coral.

"Just call me Carmella now.   A new name AND a new home!"
